The software itself is free, but you must be an end of day subscriber to use all of its features. As a trial user, the date range and amount of data that can be downloaded is restricted. There is no registration process necessary any longer in order to install or try the software. You must  subscribe to the end of day service to receive the full end of day data, or purchase one year of data in advance.
